Suozzi Responds to Bail Reform Loophole in Death of Michael K. Williams, Late Actor from HBO’s “The Wire”


Tom Suozzi, common sense Democratic candidate for Governor, today issued the following statement in response to a report that one of the drug dealers who sold fatal fentanyl-laced heroin to Michael K. Williams had been out on the streets after two felony drug sale cases due to New York’s bail reform law.

“While Kathy Hochul refuses to lead on bail reform and crime, New Yorkers continue to live in fear of violent criminals. Her pandering to the left-wing and failure to fix bail reform puts public safety at risk.”
