GLEN COVE, NY — Congressman Tom Suozzi is trying to unseat the incumbent in a Democratic primary for governor.
But Suozzi, the former Nassau County Executive, faces a tough task, trailing Gov. Kathy Hochul by 30-40 points in most polls.
Suozzi, a guest on “Patch AM” Thursday said, “I’ve got a very clear message that I think is resonating with people. I’m a proven executive. I’m a common-sense Democrat.”
He said a campaign focus is addressing what voters are most concerned about — crime, taxes, affordability, corruption and helping children in troubled schools.
“I’m going to win this race,” he said.
